HANGING over this year’s Cropredy, and especially its big Saturday evening Fairport Convention show, is the passing in June of violinist and songwriter Dave Swarbrick, the man who lit the way for Fairport when he joined the group in 1969 at the invitation of manager Joe Boyd.
