Catch Feelings on Pokémon GO With PokéDates
In “it was only a matter of time” news, there’s now a dating site for singles who just want a special someone to Pokémon GO with them. You know, until one of your games freezes and you never fully recover from the resentment of your date catching a Ghastly that you couldn’t. Now, men using Pokémon GO to hit on women who don’t want to be hit on can use a platform specifically designed for romantic encounters (I’m looking at you, unsavory stranger who yelled “I’m a rare Pokémon” at me the other day).
I mean, aren’t we all just looking for someone to Charmander us? Someone who’s Master Ball material to choose you? A Nidoking/Nidoqueen to your Nidoking/Nidoqueen? Someone to brace the Safari Zone that is life with you?
PokeDates is powered by Project Fixup, a dating service that promises “No online profiles, no back-and forth-messaging, total privacy, great local venues, and personal attention from a fixup specialist!” To use it, you just have to answer some questions about yourself and your ideal PokéMate (“Team Valors need not apply”) and share your schedule. Afterwards, they’ll set up a PokeDate for you!
You can sign up here, but heads up: each date after your first is $ 20. No harm in taking a little Pikachu though.
