Things We Saw Today: These “Roverwatch” Stickers Imagine the Heroes of Overwatch As Dogs
These puppy stickers bear an uncanny resemblance to the heroes of Overwatch, don’t they? They’re a fan-made creation by Lily Nishita–not Blizzard-endorsed, or anything. But, hey, maybe they should be! You can go grab some sticker versions of your faves on her website.
- There’s another movie adaptation of Robert C. O’Brien book Mrs. Frisby & The Rats of Nimh on its way, and James Madigan has been tapped to direct it, with Michael Berg having written the script. (via Geek Tyrant)

- Seb Dance, a Labour MEP for London who also is gay, held up a very direct sign in protest of Brexit leader Nigel Farage at Parliament today.
- Trump doesn’t see Fox News as “fake news,” but here’s something “fake” they spread lately: they tweeted misinformation about the suspected shooter of six people at a mosque in Quebec City, and they didn’t delete it until Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s communications director, Kate Purchase, put the pressure on the network to delete their tweet.

He’s describing the legacy of Ruby Bridges, the first African-American child to attend an all-white elementary school in Louisiana, as well as Mae Jemison, the first African-American woman to travel in space. Jemison was herself influenced to become an astronaut after seeing Uhura on Star Trek. So, the circle of inspirations goes round and round, thereby resulting in the casting of Sonequa Martin-Green as Discovery‘s lead–which will doubtless result in more girls and women getting inspired to follow their own dreams.
