Things We Saw Today: The Last Jedi Actors’ Awesome Training Montage
As part of the Mouse’s hype machine for Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Disney and Lucasfilm have released the above video of a bunch of the Last Jedi actors training for their fight scenes. While the video centers on Daisy Ridley, it also features Adam Driver, Kelly Marie Tran, John Boyega, and Gwendoline Christie. It totally made me want to pick up a mop and start fake lightsaber-ing around my room.
- Audiences have not been pleased with Olaf’s Frozen Adventure, the 21-minute Frozen short that precedes Coco, and Disney is listening. Starting December 8, the short will be removed from all copies of Coco. (via /Film)
- The Ringer posted an intriguing analysis of the continuity model, focusing primarily on the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and how it can be uniquely vulnerable to failures. When each film relies on those that came before it, past failures can doom present ventures, and it can be difficult to course-correct. (See: Justice League.)
